My new ep 'Ludiosis' is pretty much out although the official release is tomorrow. 

A mixture of noir jazz, trip hop, electronics, glitchy IDM, tape music, plunderphonics, climatic and cinematic, nuanced ambiences and IDM.

Three long tracks ( yes, that's right, I am a proggy guy 😉 ) 

All based on linguistic concepts as follows:

Title: Ludiosis is defined as the sense that you are just making it up as you go along, characterized by the awareness that you cannot provide a convincing explanation for why you do most of the things you do, the term draws its cultural context from the Ludi Osci (Oscan Games) of Ancient Rome, which gave rise to the art of improvisational theatre.  It highlights the human condition of navigating life with a mix of guesswork and spontaneity rather than a pre-written script.

1.Blinkback is a neologism that  is defined as a noun describing the disillusionment of revisiting a pop-culture touchstone of your youth and finding that it hasn’t aged well at all. 

The experience involves confronting "cringey dialogue, hand-puppet characterization, and wildly implausible plotting," which ultimately forces the individual to wonder what other cherished memories in their "mental fridge" are past their expiration date. The term combines the Appalachian English dialect word blinked (meaning soured milk) with back (referring to the past).

2.  The wends is a neologism defined as the frustration that you are not enjoying an experience as much as you should.  This feeling prompts you to try plugging in various thought combinations to trigger an emotion more intense than "roaring static," as if your heart had been inadvertently demagnetized by a surge of expectations. 

The term is derived from the word wend, meaning to wander unpredictably along a predetermined path, and is compared to the bends (decompression sickness), suggesting a debilitating condition caused by the mismatch between anticipated and actual emotional reward. 

3. Cullaways is a neologism defined as the scattering of memories that your brain is actively forgetting at any given moment. This process involves the mind erasing memories one by one without your input or knowledge, meaning that when you wake up in the morning, your past feels imperceptibly altered. You lose trace of specific details, such as what you ate last week, a party attended ten years ago, or the first real conversation you had with a grandparent. 

The word is constructed from cull, meaning to control the size of a herd by selectively killing some animals, and away.  It is pronounced "kuhl-uh-weys."
